More 38 million USD of FDI capital injected in Dong Nai

According to Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority (DIZA), the province recorded within a month from June 15 to July 15, 05 an increase in licensed Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) with new 10 projects worth US$ 38,110,414.

Noteworthy was a US$ 10 million project to build Wei Tai Leather Co, Ltd. (Mauritius) in Nhon Trach Industrial Zone 3 and South Korean–invested project to build Seorim Ltd Co. in Loteco Industrial Park (IP) with total amount invested of US$ 7 million. Among new FDI projects, there were three projects invested in Amata IP, three in Nhon Trach Industrial Zone 2 and two in Song May IP while the remain in Loteco and Go Dau (IPs). Especially, the province attracted new investors from British Virgin Island with 3 projects.

At the same time, about 11 projects were permitted to increase their capital, 2 of which increased the investment with registered additional capital of US$ 1.5 million. Besides, Hwaseung Vina Ltd Co. was approved to raise investment totaling US$ 16 million by Ministry of Planning and Investment.

From the beginning of this year until July, more FDI were poured into IPs of Dong Nai with a total investment of US$ 422.3 million, of this, US$ 178.9 million was capital of 65 new-licensed projects while US$ 243.327 million was supplementary capital of 55 existing projects. The new investment brought number of licensed projects in Dong Nai rising up 707 with registered capital of over US$ 7 billion. Of which, 159 projects with total investment of approx. US$ 400 million were owned by domestic investors.

Hired areas by investors represented 57.6% of the total area in the province’s IPs. To date, of 707 licensed projects, 481 have been realized with a total capital of approx. US$ 5.7 billion, made up more than 80% of total registered capital. In July, 2 projects including Vietnam Nok Ltd. Co, and Vina Dy Company have come into operation.
