Industrial production value of Dong Nai province increases by 20 percent in first six months of this year.

In the first six months of this year, industrial production value of Dong Nai province still keeps the high growth rate. Estimates show that it is about 20% higher than that of the same period of last year and reaches 20,410 billion VND, made up of 50.7% of the year plan.

Foreign-invested enterprises (FIEs) play an important role to the growth of industrial production value in the province. The industrial production value of this sector in the first half of this year obtains 13,240 billion VND, up 22.2 %, made up of 52% of year plane. Industries having high growth rate and production value are food and drink industry (obtains 2,196 billion VND, up 27.5%), textile industry (1,874.6 billion VND, UP 30.7%), leather and shoes industry (2,037 billion VND, up 18.5%),  chemical industry (1,165.7 billion VND, up 17.2%), official equipment and computer industry (reach 676 billion VND, up 42%)...etc. The increament of this section owns to the stable consumption market of big enterprises and the operation of newly founded enterprises such as Amada, Chao Chin, Shun Jin Vina, Tung Kong, Ho Hsiang, Textile and Dyeing Nam Phuong, Textile Sin Poong Vina etc.

The industrial production value of non-state enterprises reaches an amount of 3,000 billion VN, increase 22.5%, made up of 51.3% of year plane. Thanks to the increasing investment in infrastructure of industrial zones in the province, the output of mineral industry is up 30%. Having effected by the H5N1 avian flu but the production value of cattle feed industry still ups 4.7%. As for wood processing industry, its production value is also high because it has best export markets. The production value of central-state-owned enterprises reached 2,977 billion VND, up 9 per cent on annual basis, accounting for 45.3 per cent of year target. Of this sector, electrical industry increases by 11.5 per cent, gaining 620 billion VND; chemical industrial increases by 28.2 per cent, obtaining 414 billion; building material industry rises by 17 per cent to reach 347.8 billion VND.

Output value of local state-owned industrial enterprises was 1,193 billion VND, increased 18.6 per cent, it made up 51 per cent of year target. Of which, that of food and drink industry reached 218.3 billion VND, up 39.4 per cent. Remarkably, Donafoods Company Ltd. saw a 63 per cent growth in consumption due to its diversified range of products and services for meeting customer’s demands as well as increase exports to world markets.

Although having difficulties with rising prices of raw materials, the local industry still accelerated growth on increasing of output value in the first half of this year. However, the IAV for some sectors dropped down from the growth rate of corresponding period of last year since many difficulties were faced in unstable consumption demands and power in uncompetitive export markets.
