Two excellent organizations are awarded EVN (or Vietnam Electricity)'s emulation flags

    In 2009, the company attained its plan goals: commercial electricity production hit over 5,292 million kWh, representing 102.6% of plan goals, up 9.53% against 2008; electricity sales amounted to VND5 trillion; nearly 6,000 applications for power consumption limit were processed; the timer systems of more than 5,000 watt-hour meters were reset on the basis of three electricity-selling prices; 98% of rural households were supplied with electricity; technical management, safety technologies and grid operations were ensured and the demand for additional load, outage reduction and power loss reduction was coped with. The company also increased investment to upgrade the electricity grid in Bien Hoa and Thong Nhat, from 15kV to 22 kV and had automatic medium-voltage circuit breakers at 110kV stations ceased to function. Telecommunications sector attracted 23,977 new subscribers, reaching 71% of EVN’s plan goals.  Contributing VND44 billion to the State budget, the company discharged its obligation. In addition, the living standard of the company’s employees was improved.

    According to its 2010 plans, Dong Nai Power One-Member Co. Ltd is committed to a sufficient supply of electricity to meet the demand for Dong Nai’s socio-economic development, security and national defense. Simultaneously, the company will strive for a commercial electricity output of 5,930.41 million KWh, reduce power losses, increase labor productivity by 15% against 2009 and attempt to achieve an 8% profit-capital ratio.

    Addressing the meeting, Vice chairman of Dong Nai People’s Committee – Dinh Quoc Thai – gave the meeting directions and requested that Dong Nai Power continue boosting administrative reforms, carry out energy-efficiency solutions, upgrade the grid in Dong Nai and pay a special attention to completing the grid program for hinterland areas in order that 99% of households in Dong Nai would have access to electricity. “First of all, the company is required to ensure a sufficient supply of electricity for people throughout Lunar New Year holidays on the basis of safety and energy efficiency.”  Thai added.
