Dong Nai plans to relocate pollution-prone manufacturers inside urban residential areas

Manufacturers that are located on the sites that are not within the province’s socio-economic development planning, that cause severe environmental pollution and fail to take measures against pollution before the deadline required by authorities and that are near to hospitals, schools, environmentally sensitive areas are put on the relocation list.

At present, Dong Nai has 3,760 manufacturers, businesses and service providers inside urban residential areas, namely 261 ones that are located on the sites that are not within urban development planning, 117 that are located on the sites that are not within urban development planning and cause environmental pollution and 8 that cause environmental pollution.

Dong Nai People's Committee asked the Department of Trade and Industry to set up a project that provides assistance for manufacturers, businesses and service providers on the relocation list.

Accordingly, those with names on the list are entitled to support policies with regard to new factory sites, land-lease costs, relocation costs, relocation loans, interest support loans to build new factories, labor sources and environmental protection.
