From Sep 1, many animal feed companies have taken an across-the-board cut of their sales price (a mark-down of 80 – 300 dongs per kg). Particularly, poultry and waterfowl bran reduce from 60 to 200 VND per kg. An owner of a feed dealer in Gia Tan 1, Thong Nhat District said this discount is negligible compared to the rises previously. Accordingly, an average increase is from 15 to 20 thousand dongs per sack per 25 kilograms, but the decrease is as little as from 3 to 6 thousand per sack per 25 kilograms.

According
to the business circle, the fall in animal feed is quite "unusual" as compared
to the previous mark-downs. Often, most of the bran manufacturers have
relatively similar reductions based on the fall in inputs, but this mark-down
each manufacturer has it owns adjustment while there are no changes in raw
material prices .
