The national week of clean water and environmental hygiene 2010 (lasting from April 29 to May 6) on the theme of “clean water for a healthy world” is aim at disseminating people to raise their awareness about role of clean water for healthy life of people and methods for managing and exploring effectively clean water sources and environmental hygiene, especially rural and far-flung areas where people haven’t benefited much from clean water supply source.

According to report from Dong Nai Center for Rural Clean Water and Environmental Hygiene, over the past time, Dong Nai province has concentrated on investment in construction of a lot of safe water supply works for rural communities. Accordingly, the number of rural households using clean water increases year after year, from 81.8% in 2008 to 85.34% in 2009 and that is expected to rise to 90% in 2010.
