Employees are looking for job vacancies at the exchange. |
*A rise in demands for skilled employees
According to organizers, out of total 3,400 employees , 34 employers recruited directly at the exchange, there were more than 21% of recruitments requesting those employees that graduated from colleges and universities. In comparison with previous employment exchange, employee’s qualification was initially on balance and demands for qualified employees were rising.
It was easy to recognize that more employees were finding jobs at the exchange with the estimated number of nearly 3,000 turns after the morning of 10 March, who were mostly skilled. 'I am working at Trang Bom but I decided to take a chance for more suitable job at the exchange’ said Ms. Ngoc Minh from Trang Bom. She revealed her well-paid job with 8 working daytime, saving a couple of hours for her to take the on-the-job training class in the evening.
Similarly, many employees, particularly those who still worked but liked to find other better jobs, hoped the exchange would help find expected jobs with high income. However, organizers saw there would be a balance in the rate of skilled employees compared with previous employment exchange.
Mr. Huynh Ngoc Long, Director of Employment Service Center, noted that enterprises at the exchange mainly recruited unskilled laborers but the policy office of Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs reported rather high demands for trained employees. Those ones usually contacted recruiters by themselves or applied for jobs on website vieclamdongnai.net. A rise in skilled labors recorded in this exchange showed positive changes in the employment market.
*High demands for unskilled laborers
However, unskilled laborers were also in demand to work in textile, leather shoes and electronic parts assembly. Out of 3,432 job offers posted in the exchange, the demands for unskilled laborers occupied 78.82% and the rest was saved for university or college graduates.
Great demands for unskilled employees were, at the same time, raised by such enterprises as Taekwang Vina Co with a number of 540 laborers in March and 500 positions offered to unskilled laborers; Binh Tien Co., Ltd. had 372 of the unskilled out of 402. Taekwang MTC Co. had 200 offers for the unskilled; Shingmark Vina Co. had 90 of the unskilled out of 100 total demands,...
Mr. Hung, an office staff of Nidec Vietnam Co., Ltd. located at High-tech Park, District 9, Ho Chi Minh City, told that Nidec specializing in producing fans and electronic parts has demands for 200 unskilled laborers. While locating its business in high-tech park, Nidec needs unskilled laborers to work on simple workload or processing stage. With the participation into the exchange, Hung hoped to recruit a quarter of 200 unskilled laborers and the rest will be recruited via online application at vieclamdongnai.net or direct contacts to the company.
As a representative of Teakwang Vina Co., Ms. Thao also stated that 500 laborers posted in the exchange were just enough for March. In fact, her company would recruit laborers on regular basis without restriction on quantity provided that these laborers were aged from 18 to 40.
In a report by Department of Labor – Invalids – Social Affairs, in the first quarter of 2011, all enterprises in the province needs nearly 25,000 employees. Most of 9,000 unskilled employees have been offered jobs in first two months of the year. Most of skilled employees will be directly interviewed for job offers. Before the exchange ended, quite a lot of applications had been selected, which means a brighter prosperity and stability in the employment market.
