Deliver rice to people facing enormous difficulties caused by Storm No.4

Districts of Le Thuy, Quang Ninh and Bo Trach regarded as flood-prone areas of Quang Binh Province all saw their houses collapsed, mud got deeper, clothes and books washed away. In Communes of Hung Trach, Son Trach, Xuan Trach, Phuc Trach (Bo Trach District), rising water levels caused heavy flooding along the river side from 0,5 to 0,6 meter. Hundreds of houses were submerged in the floods, many areas were completely isolated, making the rescue of people face great difficulties.

To give assistance, the Big C supermarket chain has called on its officials and employees to make donation for people affected by the floods. Its relief delegation came to Bo Trach District on October 12 and in collaboration with Quang Binh Red Cross shared difficulties with people there by giving them 5 tons of rice worth VND50 million. Although the gifts were not huge, they were filled with sharing and sympathy of Big C’s whole staff towards people facing the natural disaster.
