Long Thanh: 60 Candidates  Standing as Delegates into District-Level People's Council

According to the results of the second discussion meeting, the number of candidate delegates into district-level People’s Council at ten election units is 40/60 delegates: 33.3 percent of women, 15 percent of young delegates, 13.33 percent of non-Party delegates, 1.6 percent of religious delegates and 1.6 percent of ethnic minority delegates.

Particularly, 16 delegates in charge of the Party affairs, 34 delegates at local authorities, 1 delegate in charge of  Fatherland Front Committee affairs, 5 delegates at the member organizations of Fatherland Front Committee, 2 delegates at privately-owned businesses, 1 religious dignitary and 1 ethnic minority delegate.

According to the results of the second discussion meeting, there are 693 candidate delegates into Communal People's Council. 435 out of 693 will be elected at 129 election units in 15 communes and towns of Long Thanh district.

Women, young, non-Party and ethnic minority delegates account for 30 percent, 24 percent, 3.74 percent and 1 percent, respectively.

After the two discussion meetings at district and communal levels, local voters’ opinions on and faith in candidate delegates nominated into levels of People's Council in Long Thanh were surveyed in a timely manner, meeting requirements: quantity, composition and structure.
