Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Cao Tien Dung speaks at the meeting.

According to the consortium of consulting unit, up to now, the planning project of Dong Nai province for the period of 2021-2030 with a vision to 2050, has completed the draft of the mid-term report and submitted for comments from related units.

Currently, for the planning process, the consortium of consulting unit still has 3 issues to consult with relevant units including: determine the economic development goals at district level; determine the population size by 2030 and determine the industrial park development plan.

As planned, the final report will be completed next June and sent to the Ministry of Planning and Investment. Therefore, the consulting unit also recommends the relevant agencies to coordinate and perform the remaining works to ensure the progress.

Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Cao Tien Dung said that in the past time, the coordination between the consulting unit and a number of departments, branches and localities had not been closely followed. Therefore, in the coming time, districts that had not yet organized seminars to collect opinions would urgently organize seminars to collect opinions for the planning. For the localities that had organized the seminars, the Department of Planning and Investment considered the synthesis to unify the relevant data.

The Department of Planning and Investment shall host and organize a working session between departments and agencies and the consulting unit for new arising contents that need to be supplemented to be closer to the reality of development. From there, absorbing and explaining the contents to be included in the planning.

Also according to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, currently due to the slow progress of the provincial planning, relevant units must speed up the progress. However, speeding up the planning must go hand in hand with ensuring the quality of the planning.
