According to statistics, in the first 6 months of 2022, the value of agricultural, forestry and fishery production in the province reached nearly VND22,800 billion, up 4.32% over the same period in 2021. In which, agricultural production value reached more than VND20,770 billion, up 4% (increased by 2.49% in cultivation; 5.46% in livestock; 0.82% in services). Forestry production value reached over VND790 billion, up 1.52%; seafood production value reached over VND1,200 billion, up 5.38% over the same period.
Specifically, in terms of
cultivation, the harvested output of some main crops in the first 6 months of
2022 such as mango (more than 59,200 tons); bananas (more than 77,500 tons),
dragon fruit (about 4.3 tons); oranges (4,600 tons); pomelo (24,900 tons); and more
than 100 thousand tons of rambutan; cashews reached 41 thousand tons; pepper (about
29,000 tons); rubber (13,275 tons).

Regarding livestock, the total
herd of cattle by June 2022 has over 2,790,448 heads. In which, there are
about 3,800 buffaloes; 86,900 cows; nearly 2.7 million pigs, increasing 215 thousand heads, the reason
for the increase is that the current live pig price has been stable for a long
time, on the other hand, the Covid-19 epidemic is under control, all production
and business activities will soon recover. As a result, large-scale companies
that meet the standards of barns actively re-herd, ensure breeds and livestock,
and meet market demand. The total poultry herd by June had over 27 million heads,
increase of 2.83% over the same period. Output of livestock and poultry
products in 6 months increased over the same period. Specifically, the output
of buffalo meat is estimated at 116 tons, and
that for beef is about 2,260 tons, pork has the
output of about 233,800 tons; poultry meat
reached over 90,100 tons; Poultry egg production reached over 643,700,000.
Regarding seafood, the total
production of aquatic products in 6 months reached about 34,800 tons, up 5.24%
over the same period. In which, fish production reached over 30,500 tons,
shrimp production reached over 3,500 tons. According to the assessment, the
production of aquatic products has increased due to the relatively stable
consumption market, consumers now use aquatic foods quite popularly, on the
other hand, aquaculture has been gradually redirected by farmers according to
the regulations on safety process, building a brand with VietGAP quality
reputation, aquaculture on water surface area in the direction of strongly
changing from extensive and improved farming methods to intensive and
semi-intensive farming methods. With quality aquatic products on the market,
aquaculture production has increased significantly. Aquaculture production in
the province in the first six months of 2022 is considered to be quite
favorable, disease prevention and control has been well implemented, and
farming methods have been gradually improved. Especially, there is a model of
raising giant freshwater shrimp by breaking the claws, which is a model of
high-tech application in aquaculture production.
