According to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, in the period 2015-2021, the province has implemented compensation and site clearance for 531 projects on traffic, irrigation, residential areas and resettlement, Industrial Zones, and Industrial Clusters. To implement projects, there are more than 33,700 cases of land recovery, with an area of nearly 9,500 hectares. In which, compensation, support and resettlement have been completed for 273 projects, with an area of nearly 2,400 hectares, the total compensation for the implementation of projects is about VND6,000 billion. The remaining 258 projects, with an area of more than 7,100 hectares, are continuing to be implemented.
In general, the work of compensation, support and resettlement in the province is basically done in accordance with the provisions of law, the cleared land area meets the requirements for implementing the socio-economic development projects. Many key and important projects have been completed such as: National Highway No. 20, provincial roads of DT.765, DT.767, DT.768, DT.769, National Highway 1A bypass, HCMC - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway, Dau Giay - Phan Thiet Expressway, Dong Nai Bridge, expansion of National Highway No. 51, An Hao Bridge, Nhon Trach Water Supply System, 500kv, 220kv, 110kv power lines, Industrial Zones and Residential Areas. Among the compensation projects, Long Thanh International Airport covers the largest area.
