On July 1, Chairman Cao Tien Dung of the Provincial People's Committee had a meeting with Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi - Consul General of India to Ho Chi Minh City to visit and work in Dong Nai.
At the meeting, the Chairman of
the Provincial People's Committee informed Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi about the
socio-economic situation of the province, the situation of attracting foreign
investment in Dong Nai. Accordingly, at present, the province has 32 Industrial Zones with more than 1,500 foreign
investment projects in 44 countries and territories still valid with a total
registered capital of over US$32.4 billion. Dong Nai is very convenient in
terms of traffic connections in the southern region. Currently, in the
province, Long Thanh airport is being built by the Government, which will be
very convenient for international trade in the future.

Sethi said, India is a large market and has many strengths and potential for
cooperation. He looks forward to cooperating with Vietnam in general and Dong
Nai in particular in many fields. "India is having to import many items
that Vietnam has export strength, this needs to be considered in order to
improve trade between the two countries in general and Dong Nai in
particular," said the Consul General of India.
Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi invited the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the provincial delegation to India soon to learn about trade and investment promotion. He also emphasized, India is very willing to welcome small and medium enterprises of Dong Nai Province to invest in India, as well as cooperate in the fields of health, education and information technology; organize training groups, exchange expertise, expertise and transfer technology in many fields.
Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi added that the Consulate General of India will soon organize a festival in Ho Chi Minh City, this event is expected to have a few hundred businesses from India participate to exchange, connecting the desire for cooperation between Indian businesses and Vietnamese businesses. He wishes at that time to welcome the delegation of the province and enterprises of Dong Nai to attend.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the goodwill of cooperation of the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City extended to Dong Nai Province in all fields and assigned to departments and branches to consider preparing cooperation programs for efficiency.
In the afternoon of the same day, the Consul General of India continued to have a working session with the Department of External Relations and related departments, branches and universities of Dong Nai province to promote specific cooperation activities.
