In recent years, the cooperation and transfer of techniques and technologies between universities and colleges in the province and businesses have achieved many positive results. This brings benefits to both sides, promoting the creative spirit of lecturers and students.
Creative experience
Associate Professor-Dr. Nguyen Vu Quynh, Vice President of Lac Hong University, said that since 2003, the university has advocated promoting scientific research and applying the results into practice.
The first scientific research project of the university was "Building an electronic office", used in the university with an investment of about VND300 million. E-office allows transactions to be done on the internet, saving a lot of time and effort of not only managers but also employees and lecturers.
With the results achieved, this topic was then transferred to other universities inside and outside the province. After that, Lac Hong University carried out many cooperations in technology transfer to businesses, restaurants and cafes in the province such as: E-Order software; component inspection and packing system, centrifugal casting mold lubrication machine, automatic steel bending machine.
According to university leaders, the original purpose of scientific research and technology transfer is not for profit but to create a brand. At the same time, it brought the scientific research movement into depth among students and lecturers.
Every year, the university organizes the Lac Hong Science and Technology Festival with hundreds of participating topics. Up to now, the university's research and technology transfer activities have achieved many positive results. The university has been implementing many major projects with a cost of billions of dong. The transfer has brought great income to the staff, lecturers and students of the school. Many prestigious international scientific articles in the ISI list with high impact factors have also been published by scientists of Lac Hong University.
Dr. Pham Van Toan, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Lac Hong University said that a number of projects implemented by lecturers and students have been transferred to businesses with high efficiency such as: the automatic gluing machine (to stick the tape on 4 sides of the aluminum bar to protect it); the project of gluing barcode on the component box (in order to replace the process of gluing tape, reducing the work process); automatic aluminum extrusion machine (helps to reduce labor, improve productivity, reduce cost); automatic glue dispenser, etc.
“Cooperation brings benefits to both sides. Enterprises have a place to consult on techniques, to be transferred new, high and modern techniques to improve productivity, quality, and increase the value of products. Lecturers and students can experience in the real environment, learn the new technologies, quickly integrate with 4.0 technology, gain more income and experience to solve future problems, Toan added.
International cooperation
Dr. Le Quang Trung, Vice President of Lilama 2 International Technology College, said that the college has been cooperating to transfer training programs, training methods, training organization methods, and training processes, capacity assessment for 4 programs for 11 schools in the national education system selected by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).
Lilama 2 College is also coordinating with businesses to deploy a training model suitable to the reality of businesses. Enterprises will directly participate in the development and adjustment of training programs in accordance with the technological and production processes of enterprises; participate in organization and training at the enterprise with the content that the two sides have agreed, evaluate the quality.
“From the second year, students of the college have come to businesses to study and work in positions of technology chains. After graduation, they can work right away without retraining. As a result, enterprises have high-quality human resources to meet their demands," said Dr. Le Quang Trung.
According to the leader of Lilama 2 International Technology College, the college is building an Industry 4.0 Training Center to provide high-quality human resources for the labor market. At the same time, upgrade and improve training programs such as industrial robots, industrial automation, industrial electronics, CNC metal cutting. In addition, Lilama 2 School is coordinating with the Vietnam Airlines Engineering Company (Vaeco) to train in two majors: aircraft maintenance and repair, and aircraft structure maintenance and repair to contribute to training the human resources for the Long Thanh Airport project in the near future.
Students who study these two majors will learn the basic knowledge and skills on the equipment and machinery system of Lilama 2 College, invested by a German project, and learn expertise at the Aircraft Maintenance and Repair Centers in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
The college continues to support free tuition for Dong Nai students to study college majors at the school. After graduating from college, students can study at Ho Chi Minh University of Technology.
“This year, the college recruited and trained 50 students for industrial electricity and 50 for welding. After 2 years of both vocational training and Japanese language in Vietnam, they will go to Japan for an internship. Returning home, their job opportunities are great and their income is high. The goal of the school will be to train high-quality human resources globally, not only train human resources for the province and the country” - Dr. Le Quang Trung, Vice Rector of Lilama 2 International Technology College emphasized.
