At the moment when businesses speed up production after a moderate period of operation due to the impact of the Covid-19 disease, the electric power industry has committed to providing sufficient electricity for industrial production, watering in cultivation and activities for Dong Nai.
This is a positive signal to help businesses proactively plan production, receive large orders, and farmers are assured of seeding.
Electricity production has increased again

According to Dong Nai PC, in the first four months of 2020, electricity demand in the province increased less than the forecast of the electricity industry. Specifically, the total commercial electricity output in the first 4 months reached nearly 4.5 billion kWh, an increase of 1.76% compared to the same period in 2019 but lower than the forecast increase of 6%. In particular, electricity consumption in agriculture, forestry and fishery production increased by over 12% and electricity consumption increased by nearly 10%; Electricity consumption in industrial production decreased by 0.82% compared to the same period in 2019. However, it is expected that by the end of the second quarter and the beginning of the third quarter, the demand for electricity, especially industrial production electricity, will increase sharply as enterprises enter the stage of accelerating production; Electricity demand for agricultural production and daily life is still low.
As planned, from June next, the whole 9ha factory area of Great Kingdom Giang Dien Co., Ltd. (Giang Dien Industrial Park, Trang Bom District) will come into operation instead of 1 factory as the present, so the demand for electricity will reach to triple.
Mr. Luong Ngoc Hoi, Deputy General Director of Great Kingdom Giang Dien Co., Ltd said that there is only one workshop operating so the demand for electricity is not high. However, by the end of June, when the company's entire factory in Bien Hoa City moves here, the demand for electricity will triple.
At Khai Toan Joint-Stock Company, Tam Phuoc Industrial Park (Bien Hoa City), due to both producing electric equipment and leasing factories, the demand for electricity is huge, an average of about VND 20 billion of electricity per month. To reduce the pressure on the electricity industry, limit the overload that affects the production of land lease businesses, in 2019, this company invested over VND 60 billion in installing a 3,743kWp rooftop solar power system connected to the national grid. Since then, the company has not only been proactive in producing electricity, but also sold back to the electricity industry over 3.2 million kilowatts of electricity per year, earning more than VND 6 billion.
In agricultural production and daily life, as the dry season lasts longer than the years, the demand for electricity for irrigation and living is expected to remain at around 10% in the next month.
Many options to ensure adequate electricity

If many years ago, at the peak of the dry season, many fields could not be seeded due to drought, electricity for agricultural production is not guaranteed, this year, this situation is almost no longer available.
Mr. Truong Dinh Quoc, Deputy Director of Dong Nai PC said that to ensure electricity for peak production in the dry season, from the beginning of the year, Dong Nai PC had a plan to supply electricity for the dry season 2020 and was approved by Dong Nai People's Committee, including completing and putting into operation the distribution grid works, upgrading substations; investing in equipment, electrical systems, applying information technology achievements in electricity supply, ensuring the goal of safe and continuous electricity supply to meet the socio-economic development demands in local.
Currently, the demand for electricity for domestic use and watering plants is still high, along with that, the recovery of production of businesses after the time of social distancing leads to local overcrowding during peak hours. In order to ensure a constant and stable power supply, Dong Nai PC has a plan to review and balance the appropriate load; accelerate the progress of electricity projects being invested; propagandize for people, businesses, investors to install and trade solar power in accordance with the Prime Minister's Decision No. 13/2020/QD-TTg on encouragement mechanism for solar power development in Vietnam.
Recently, Dong Nai PC has proposed that the provincial People's Committee should direct districts to support land clearance, accelerate the progress of upgrading and renovating electricity projects in the province, including 110kV station in Giang Dien Industrial Park, 110kV station in Dinh Quan District to limit the overload, which affecting production and daily life of people and businesses.
