This year, due to economic challenges, consumer purchasing power is forecasted to remain unchanged compared to the same period last year, while input costs for raw materials and supplies have increased. As a result, many enterprises and production facilities plan to maintain Tet production volumes at levels similar to the previous year. With the Lunar New Year 2025 being nearly a month after the Gregorian New Year, many enterprises and facilities began preparing for Tet products as early as late October and early November 2024.

Mr. Hieu Le, Deputy Director of Nga Bien Import-Export Co., Ltd. (Xuan Hung Commune, Xuan Loc District), shared that the company specializes in processed cashew nuts. This year, Tet purchasing power is expected to face many impacts amidst economic difficulties.

Moreover, consumer trends have shifted significantly, with more customers preferring to purchase products through online platforms and e-commerce channels. This requires enterprises to proactively plan and balance their supply of goods for Tet while diversifying distribution and marketing channels. Efforts are being made to promote and sell products on e-commerce platforms to expand market reach during this Tet season.

Similarly, Mr. Tran Tri Dung, CEO of Hoa Sen Production Facility (Long Khanh City), stated that the facility has proactively signed early contracts for sourcing raw materials for Tet production to ensure stable pricing for its products. This year, the facility's Tet supply volume is expected to remain stable or increase by 15-20%, depending on market demand, instead of experiencing the sharp spikes seen during previous Tet production seasons. The adjustments are attributed to the impact of economic conditions on customer consumption and spending behavior.

According to many enterprises and production facilities, another challenge currently faced during Tet preparation is the rising cost of raw materials. This has significantly affected the production and supply plans of many businesses and facilities for the Tet season.
