The reason for the increase is that farmers strongly switch to growing fruit trees with high economic efficiency such as bananas, pomelos, durians, etc. Not only has the area increased, the output of many key fruit trees has increased in the region. The province also increased sharply because farmers applied new varieties, science and new techniques into production. Specifically, the total production of pomelo in the province reached more than 89.4 thousand tons, up more than 21% over the same period last year; total banana production reached more than 192 thousand tons, an increase of more than 38% over the same period; durian output reached more than 50,2 thousand tons...

The localities with increased fruit tree area include: Tan Phu, Dinh Quan, Xuan Loc, Trang Bom, Thong Nhat, Vinh Cuu and Long Khanh City. The above localities are also forming specialized fruit-growing regions, developing area codes for the province's key fruit trees to meet export market standards so that these products can have more stable outputs.
