Aquaculture has achieved a high growth rate compared to agro-forestry-fishery production in general. The efficiency of aquatic land use also continuously increases to reach 485 million VND/ha/year by 2022. This effect is achieved thanks to the aquaculture farmers in the province who actively converted from extensive farming to one intensive farming, super-intensive farming, converting inefficient farming objects to objects of high economic value such as white-leg shrimp, giant freshwater shrimp and some other freshwater fish. The structure of the aquaculture industry in the province continues to shift in the direction of increasing the proportion of freshwater aquaculture products and the quality of seed in the direction of disease-free and adaptation to climate change.
