In the remaining working months of the year, workers and employees in enterprises are in great excitementfor being paid attention to by the Trade Union and their enterprises. Accordingly, in order to create motivation for emulation at work for employees, enterprises not only cooperate with the Trade Union to organize dialogues and listen to their employees' aspirations, but also promote implementation of welfare policies to retain employees before and after the Lunar New Year Holiday.

Much fun at the end of the year

As a company with nearly 2 thousand employees, taking care of its employee at the end of the year is always interested by the Trade Union and Minh Thanh Co., Ltd (Vinh Cuu District). The representative of the grassroots trade union said that this year, although affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, the Trade Union held a meeting with the enterprise to maintain care activities for New Year and Lunar New Year Holidaylike every year. In addition to giving gifts for the Holidays and Tet bonuses, businesses will support travel tickets for workers living afar to come home for Tet.

Also according to the grassroots trade union of Minh Thanh Co., Ltd., the enterprise has orders until July 2021; therefore, it will absolutely ensure regular jobs for its employees. However, in order to create conditions for employees to rest, on occasion of New Year, the enterprise agreed to give its employees 3 days off and cash directly to employee's personal accounts. As for the Lunar New Year, it is expected to have 10 days off, with Tet bonus calculated by the total average monthly income of each employee multiplied by his seniority coefficient. In addition, the grassroots trade union held a year-end meeting, giving gifts to all workers to return home for Tet celebration.

As soon as receiving the notice of the coming New Year, the company is expected to give gifts to its workers from VND 200,000 - 600,000/ person depending on seniority. Tran Van Thanh, working at the sanding department of Minh Thanh Co., Ltd. shows his excitement: "At the end of the year, our company have increased its orders, it is happy to have a job with a stable income, now we have gifts from our company, though little but very meaningful and practical", said Thanh.

Meanwhile, at Taekwang Vina Industrial Joint Stock Company (Bien Hoa City), on occasion of the coming New Year, the company's employees are also entitled to many incentives. Specifically, in addition to a day off with full salary (January 1, 2021), the employees also will be entitled to a gift of VND 100,000. For those who are expected to work on February 2, 2021 will be allowed to participate in the lucky dial program with the special gifts of 50 maces of SJC gold and 1 thousand sets of dishes - a new program this year to motivate and encourage employees' working spirit.

Recently, Hwaseung Vina Co., Ltd. (Nhon Trach district) has organized a Christmas welcoming program for its employees with meaningful activities such as exchange, lucky draw and gift-receiving games. Accordingly, after work, thousands of its employees participated in many useful folk games. The representative of the enterprise said that the year-end activities are expected to inspire employees and make them happy at work; thereby, to create a friendly and solidary working environment in the labour collective.

Paying attention to and grasping employees' aspirations 

In less than 2 months, employees in enterprises will celebrate the Lunar New Year Holiday 2021. At this time, enterprises' production and business activities continue to be accelerated. The employees are trying their best to complete their tasks to "relax" for celebration of Tet. This is the time for them to maximize their working spirit because it is necessary to ensure fulfillment of orders in 2020. Therefore, encouragement and trust building from the Trade Union and enterprises are really important, making their employees more responsible at work and feel secure about regimes, policies, salary and bonus at the end of the year.

At Binh Tien Bien Hoa Company Limited (Bien Hoa City), nearly 5,000 workers are also at the peak of labor emulation and production at the end of the year. The representative of the business said that the orders have been signed until 2021, so the employees are secured for regular jobs and stable incomes, with an excited working spirit. In order to maintain the enthusiastic working atmosphere and complete the assigned targets, the company encouraged its team leaders and managers to grasp the employees' aspiration and personal difficulties. At the same time, a meeting will be held for a plan to pay salaries and rewards worthy of itsemployees’ efforts.

Ms. Huynh Thi Thuy An, a worker at the enterprise, excitedly said that inspite of being affected by the pandemic in 2020, the enterprise has endeavoured to ensure regular employment for its employees and maintain employees' income and insurance regimes. Therefore, the employees will make efforts to exceed the number of contracted products for a higher income, contributing to the company's development and increasingly asserting its reputation in the export market.

Meanwhile, the grassroots trade union and Tokin Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Bien Hoa City) held an employee conference in 2020. There, the enterprise announced the situation of production and business as well as proactively listened to recommendations, thoughts and aspirations of employees, at the same time, carefully answered all questions, helping employees to stabilize their working spirit. In addition, the enterprise is expected to maintain and increase benefits for its employees according to the signed collective labor agreement.

Worker Le Thi Hai said, attending the year-end employee conference, we are really satisfied because our enterprise showed its democracy by respecting our ideas and exchanging many issues of interest. “At the end of the year, with the opportunity to meet our business leaders, to express our wishes in the coming year, we workers feel comfortable in mind and working mentality at work. We hope that our business will flourish more and more, and well perform the benefits as committed”, expressed Ms. Hai.

According to the Provincial Confederation of Labour, timely attention of business owners at the end of the year is a gift and gratitude to their employees after a year of dedication and attachment. Inspite of difficulties, the Trade Union wants businesses to make their efforts for forms of rewarding and increasing salary and Tet bonuses to share difficulties and support their employees. The Trade Union will also accompany businesses in keeping stable labor relations and implementing Tet care activities for employees.
