Investigation request of “fake” DNAI.LIS application misleading users

WP – The Department of Natural Resources and Environment has just sent a document to the Provincial People's Committee; Provincial police and Department of Information and Communication about the appearance of fake DNAI.LIS application that misleading users.


The document specified, the Department has now discovered on the Google Play Store app has a fake application of the Department called DNAI.LIS 2.0. This software uses a number of public data sources of the Department, causing misleading to the users. After discovery, the Department suspended DNAI.LIS software to track and identify counterfeit objects and research to change technical solutions to prevent unauthorized use of data by the Department of Natural Resources and Environment.

 

In this case, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment has petitioned the Provincial People's Committee to consider and direct the Department of Information and Communication to coordinate with the Provincial Police Department to investigate the organization or individual implementing this fake application.

 

It is known that in 2015, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment released DNAI.LIS application on the Google Play market and Apple's AppStore to serve the needs of exploiting information about provincial land use planning of organizations and individuals. This is an application with high appraisal from people and organizations.
