3 units tested for SARS-COV-2 virus in Dong Nai

​WP - On April 9, the Ministry of Health announced the decision to allow Dong Nai to have 3 units perform tests of new strains of SARS-COV-2 virus, which are the provincial Center for Disease Control, Dong Nai General Hospital and Thong Nhat General Hospital.

The Ministry of Health's decision allowed Dong Nai to have 3 units to carry out testing for new strains of SARS-COV-2 virus.

Accordingly, from April 9, Dong Nai Center for Disease Control; Department of Microbiology of Dong Nai General Hospital and Department of Microbiology of Thong Nhat General Hospital were tested and confirmed for SARS-COV-2.

The Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City has also conducted a survey, assessing conditions and standards for testing in all 3 units. According to the assessment, all units have biosafety laboratories of level 2, fully meeting the standards of machines and people to carry out the Covid-19 screening test. The Pasteur Institute also conducts training for technicians involved in testing in Dong Nai. Reportedly, recently, through these 3 units, Dong Nai has actively tested many F1 cases in the province, and promptly detected the first case of Covid-19 infection, helping the localization and isolation timely.
