WEB PORTAL – On April 15, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Vo Van Chanh worked with the Environmental Protection Fund Management Council on the results of the implementation of the 2019 and 2020 Work Programs.

According to the Director of the Environment Protection Fund Hoang Thi Nhung, in 2019, the Vietnam Environment Protection Fund has received, appraised and approved loans for 10 projects with a loan capital of nearly VND 40 billion, bringing the total loan capital to over VND 239 billion with 75 projects, of which 73 projects with preferential interest rates of over 4%/year. In 2020, the Fund's operating capital is expected to be VND 110 billion, including VND 90 billion in 2019 capital and VND 20 billion in additional capital in 2020. The Fund's capital will lend to businesses, cooperatives and farms in the province to invest in projects and programs on activities of preventing, fighting and overcoming environmental pollution in the province.
Vice Chairman Vo Van Chanh requested that in 2020, the Fund should lend many projects, focusing on lending to small businesses and cooperatives for environmental treatment such as sorting waste at source, buying garbage trucks to protect the environment, lending for environmental treatment technology innovation, etc. The objective of the Fund is of great social significance in community work and environmental protection. In addition, the Fund needs to promote the coordination with departments and branches to carry out propaganda to raise environmental protection awareness to the community.
