WP - As of January 15, two inspection teams of the Department of Health checked the implementation of 37 criteria of the Ministry of Health on assessment of hospitals for safety in Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control at 13 hospitals and medical center in the province, including hospitals such as Hoan My Dong Nai International Hospital, Dong Nai Children's Hospital, Viet Anh Duc Dental Hospital, Long Thanh Regional General Hospital, University Medical Shing Mark Hospital, Au Co Hospital, Tam Hong Phuoc General Hospital, Traditional Medicine Hospital, Dermatology Hospital, and Hoan My ITO Saigon Hospital; and Medical centers in Nhon Trach District, Bien Hoa City, and Vinh Cuu District.
Hoan My Dong Nai International Hospital well performs the separation of patient pathways
Through examination, all 13 units have met criteria for safety hospitals. The establishments have a good sense of implementing and maintaining the separation and screening of patients from the entrance. The cases with symptoms of cough, fever, and shortness of breath are arranged by separate paths, not in the common passage of other patients. Many hospitals strictly require all people entering the hospitals to make medical declarations; and provide fast hand sanitizers in places of mass gathering and in clinics, etc. Besides, some units conduct drills to receive suspected Covid-19 cases; train medical officers and staff in the hospitals and centers with knowledge related to the Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control; and offer treatment and care if a patient is infected with Covid-19 and in suspected Covid-19 infection.
The members of the inspection team suggest the establishments continue to well perform the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic, as consequences are expected to be severe if we are just negligent and off-guard for a mere second, but to "leak" one Covid-19 infected person into the hospital without control. According to the regulations of the Ministry of Health, any medical facility that fails to meet the criteria for safety hospitals for the Covid-19 pandemic prevention will be subject to suspend its operations until safe.
According to the inspection schedule, in the next two days 19 and 20 January, the inspection teams of the Department of Health are expected to continue checking at 10 remaining hospitals and medical centers in the province.
