Department of Science and Technology launches program detect errors basing on the non-standard quarantine technology.

In the afternoon of September 18 2006, the Department of Science and Technology of Dongnai province held a press conference to announce the program “to attack the security port basing on the non-standard quarantine technology before piloting this system in the coming time.

With the aim of constructing a new security port designed and controlled by Vietnamese, the Department of Science and Technology of Dongnai province with the support from the Important Master Committee of the Government has conducted a scientific project called “To construct a security port for e-government system basing on the non-standard quarantine technology. The security port is divided into 3 layers: Unclassified (public) layer; private player and confidential layer as to secure data and information of those who use this system. Presently, the project is entering its final step and can be applied in real situation.

The Department launches this program with the aim of getting information, supports and helps from network security experts, particularly goodwill hackers who want to make contribution to the national security as well as to strengthen security of the system, to detect the errors and to perfect the system before piloting it.

Anyone who wants to take part in this program can register at the following websites: www.dost-dongnai.gov.vn or www.athena.com.vn and will be provided documents on non-standard system. In addition, subscribes will have chances to win prizes ranging from 500,000 VND to  10 million VND.

The program will last for 2 months from October 1st to December 1st.
