On September 29, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Phi has a field survey and worked with the People's Committee of Long Khanh City and related departments on the progress of implementing 2 projects of Suoi Tre and Cau Dau Reservoirs.
The Vice
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Phi inspected the Cau Dau Reservoir
project.
According to the People's Committee of Long Khanh City, the project of upgrading and expanding the Suoi Tre Reservoir includes two work items: repairing the old Suoi Tre Lake and upgrading and expanding the Suoi Tre Lake (the new lake) with a total investment of more than VND131 billions. The project has started its construction in 2017 with 4 construction packages. So far, there have been 02 bidding packages (No. 2 and 3) including repairing the old lake and building a management office. The remaining 2 packages have been under construction. It is expected that by the end of 2021, the project will have been completed, tested and put into use. However, at present, the project construction process has been also facing the difficulties due to the prolonged handover process, so it has affected the progress. Along with that, after the construction is completed, the project will also affect the 500kV Vinh Tan - Song May Transmission Line.
Meanwhile, the project of the Cau Dau Reservoir has been started in 2018 with a total investment of more than VND297 billion. Currently, the project has been in the finishing stage and expected to store the water, stabilized the dam body, and put it into use in 2021.
The Vice
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Phi gave the guideline at
the meeting.
Speaking at the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Phi has emphasized that the two reservoir projects of Suoi Tre and Cau Dau are multi-purpose projects, serving the agricultural and industrial production as well as supplying the domestic water for Long Khanh City. In which, the important goal is to fill in the underground drilling wells, especially in the Industrial Zones and Industrial Clusters in Long Khanh City in order to protect the groundwater when these projects will have completed. Therefore, the authorities and investors need to have the coordination in order to accelerate the completion of projects.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Phi has also asked the relevant authorities to coordinate in developing the management and exploitation plan in order to maximize the effectiveness of the two projects. Particularly for the project of the Cau Dau Reservoir, the authorities are considering the possibility of storing the water with the water level about 01 metre higher than the current time.
