On June 24th, at Provincial Conference and Event Center, Dong Nai province held a national conference with the topic: “Promoting Agriculture Mechanization”.

At the opening of the conference, Deputy Minister Tran Thanh Nam highlighted that promoting mechanization in agriculture was the core mission in the progress of rural industrialization and modernization. The Government implemented many supportive policies to encourage mechanization investment in agriculture and the result was fairly good so far. The contents which were ratified at the conference include: agriculture mechanization status and limitations in Vietnam; in industries restructuring, a list of sectors that need to be mechanized shall be made; agriculture engineering met the national mechanization demand; evaluation of government management in mechanization; the economic sectors to take part in agriculture mechanization…
In the afternoon of the same day, at the workshop: “Supporting Industries Development for Mechanical Engineering and Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery Processing”. The enterprises analyzed the importance of investing supporting industries in engineering agriculture; cooperation of universities and enterprises in mechanical engineer training, machine operation training for farmers; machine and equipment quality control before the market launch… Thereby, many groups of solutions were given such as: the necessity of having favorable finance, mechanic, market development policies in supporting industry and domestic mechanized agriculture; quality control, imported machine and equipment markets for agriculture.
