Delicious pomelo and good pomelo breed contest: the first prize was awarded to sweet orange pomelo.

In the first round held in Long Khanh commune, Bien Hoa city, the contest attracted a great number of  farmers to join with 126 samples of sweet orange pomelo, smooth skin pomelo, guava pomelo, and Nam Roi pomelo. The final round with 5 kinds of pomelo enrolled consisted of sweet orange pomelo, guava pomelo, green skin pomelo, smooth skin pomelo, Nam Roi pomelo, and dragon pomelo. After some time of seriously marking, the Judges awarded the first prize for sweet orange pomelo of Nguyen Cao Sy (Binh Loi commune) and the second prize for sweet orange pomelo of Ngo Van than (Tan Binh commune, Vinh Cuu district). Three third prizes were awarded for Do Anh The Tuan ( sweet orange pomelo, Thien Tan commune), Ngo Van Thuan ( guava pomelo , Tan binh commune), Chau Van Long (Tan Binh, guava pomelo). Reportedly, most of the prizes were awarded for farmers in Vinh Cuu District.

According to Dong nai agricultural encouragement center, those pomelos awarded in this contest will be kept tracked of and evaluated continuously in 3 year to acknowledge good pomelo breed, and since then there will be foundation to multiply or expand the land area or change plant mechanism at gardens.
