Agriculture keeps growing 5.5 percent rate on agricultural-forestry-aquatic production.

In the morning March 15, agricultural branch hold a summation of implementation of agricultural and rural production plan in 2006 and propose directions, duties and solutions for carrying out plans and targets in 2007 with attention of provincial deputy chairman Ao Van Thinh.

1532007nongnghiep1Last year, because of heavy rain lasted over 2 months in comparison with every year, it affects to blooming and fruiting in perennial fruit-trees such as: cashew nut, mango, rambutan, durian…tropical low pressure cause heavy rain and waterlogged over 2060 ha of rice, 417 ha of vegetable. Furthermore, epidemics such as pests, short-yellow-twisted leaf damage 5.000 ha of rice which reduces significantly productivity. Besides, epidemics on livestock and poultry also affect considerably to people’s producing and breeding. However, under timely interests of branches in directing people to plant conversion, livestock fixed to the area that rural and agricultural economy still develop to exceed proposed targets.

To those, the third preliminary value of agricultural-forestry-aquatic production for the whole year gets 100 percent of target (increase 5.5 percent compared to 2005. It includes value of agricultural production which gets 99.89 percent of target; value of forestry production increase to 3.52 percent; value of aquatic production increase to 8.91 percent.

In 2007, agricultural branches set orientation to keep stably growing rate of agricultural-forestry-aquatic production for getting and over targeting 5.5 percent for both periods from 2006 to 2010.
