April 21, Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs held a training seminar on gender equality for specialist managers, for specialist commissions or for the commissions that are in charge of both gender equality and women’s advancement at departments, committees, sectors, unions at provincial, district and communal levels.

Implementing the province’s gender equality plans 2011-2015 period

The training session revolved such contents as introduction of some gender equality concepts; gender equality in various areas, state management on gender equality at all levels of authorities; key tasks concerning gender equality that need performing at and applying to localities and units; measures to ensure gender equality; inspection, monitoring and evaluation of gender equality; and guidelines to carry out gender-equality tasks in 2011-2015 period.

The training session was taken charge of by Master Dinh Thi Thu Trang, a lecturer from the Institute of Educational Managers Ho Chi Minh City.
