Total Budget Revenue in the Eight Months of 2009 Hits 72% of the Full-year Forecast

According to report on revenue and expenditure of the budget during the eight months by Department of Finance, the budget hit VND8,720 billion (US$491 million), making up 72% of the full-year estimate.

    In particular, domestic revenue reached 66% of the full-year forecast (apart from land use earnings), 82% from local State-owned businesses, 80% from central State-owned businesses,  from 69% foreign invested ones;  62% from Non-state-owned  firms, and only 38% from individual income tax (due to reduction and expanse policies on tax).

    Budget expenditure hit VND2547 billion, accounting for 63% of the full-year forecast, in which regular expenditure reached 62%; expenditure for investment and development hit 47%, up 25% compared with the same period last year.

    In estimation, the 2009 budget revenue will reach and exceed the year target.
