Launching the cemetery of military commander Nguyen Duc Ung and 27 soldiers dead during French resistance war

Long Thanh district committee and People’s Committee held the opening ceremony of the historic cemetery relic of military commander Nguyen Duc Ung and 27 soldiers dead during French resistance war. Mr. Le Hong Phuong – standing Deputy Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Mr. Huynh Van Toi – Head of Propaganda Department of provincial Party Committee, and representatives from relevant departments, services and unions, and Long Thanh district Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee, came over to attend the ceremony.

Provincial leaders are cutting the banner to open the cemetery  

The groundbreaking of the cemetery took place at Moi village, Long Phuoc commune, Long Thanh district on 23 July 2010. The relic is built to welcome the 1000th year of Thang Long – Hanoi. After 160 days of construction with the total investment of more than VND 18 billions, it has completed such facilities as temple, guest reception house, tombstone worship house, graveyard and exterior fountain, which are sponsored by Food Industry Corporate, Amata Joint Stock Corporate, Loc Thinh, Tan Mai, Nguyen Hoang and Nhi Hiep companies.  

The launch and operation of the cemetery of military commander Nguyen Duc Ung and 27 soldiers have also recognized it as a national historic, revolutionary and cultural relic which many residents in the district can choose as an ideal destination to educate revolutionary and historic tradition for the next generation.
