The 5th Skill Contest for the young of Dongnai Province summed up.

The Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs held a ceremony to sum up the 5th Skill Contest for the young of Dongnai Province at Dongnai Vocational College on the morning of 7 June 2008. Huynh thi Nga- Vice-chairperson of the Provincial People’s Committee attended the ceremony.

Huynh thi Nga- Vice-chairperson of the provincial People’s Committee handed over certificates of merit to winning contestants.

114 contestants representing 21 schools, centers and enterprises participated in the 5th Professional Skill Contest of Dongnai Province co-organized by Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, Vocational Training agencies and enterprises. The contest will run through 26th April to 6th May 2008. Contestants will participate in 15 fields, namely mechatronics, automotive technology, information technology, restaurant service, civil electricity, electro-refrigeration, industrial electronics, welding, water pipeline installation, sewing female clothes, fine art carpentry, cooking, graphical design, website design, drawing and designing on computer. Eventually, 120 contestants were acknowledged to be outstanding. That included 17 first prizes, 11 second prizes, 17 third prizes, and 55 encouragement prizes.

The contest not only is a traditional playground but also is aimed at encouraging creativeness and career passion of the young students. The

 contest  is also a chance to assess effects of vocational training for the time being. Via the contest, excellent contestants will be chosen and fostered to take part in National  Skill Contest for the Young and in time for the Asian Skill Contest 2008.

Addressing at the ceremony, Huynh thi Nga-Vice-chairperson of the provincial People’s Committee highly appreciated organization work of the skill contest for the young of the province and noted that in coming time the quality of the contest should be enhanced more; besides, skilled and high-tech careers should be multiplied.
