According to report from Department ofLabor,War Invalids and Social Affairs, in the first six months, 48,514 people in the province were offered jobs, reaching 57.11% of the year’s target, based on the result of job creation in the first five months and estimation for June, 2008.

The number of labors offered jobs via programs and socio-economic development projects of the province were 48,477. Job Service Centers and Enterprises introduced 40,000 people to enterprises. Besides, enterprises announced recruitment information by themselves. The total labors recruited were 28,130, including 20,900 labors recruited by foreign-invested enterprises, 7,080 labors recruited by private enterprises, limited liability companies, and joint stock companies, 150 labors recruited by domestic companies. Through socio-economic programs, 17,254 labors were offered jobs. That consisted of 5,228 unemployed offered jobs via Poverty Reduction Program and 12,026 labors getting jobs via programs such as “fixed cultivation, fixed residence”, forestation, household economy, farm, cooperation expansion in small-scale handicraft industry as well as  agricultural cooperatives. Capital Loan Program created jobs for 3,093 labors via 77 projects with VND15.465 billion in total. Besides, some companies sent 64 labors abroad to train and practice on production line.
