“School Stage” Project in Dong Nai Concludes

After three months of its implementation, the “School Stage” project, jointly organized by Board for Performance Art, Center for Preservation, Research and Development of National Cultural Arts , Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Education and Training, Delegation of Performed Opera of Dong Nai came to an end in the Bien Hoa Culture-Information center in the August 24 evening with presence of Mrs. Huynh Thi Nga, vice chairwomen of provincial people’s committee.

     The project is aimed at making middle school students accessible to national arts including performed opera in a wide range of activities at the schools. By the way, it means to preserve and develop the performed opera in youngsters and expects to find out the aptitude individuals to train as performed opera seeds.

     The project has been implemented in certain middle schools across Dong Nai province, such as Nguyen Duc Ung (Long Thanh district), Vo Truong Toan (Vinh Cuu district), and Phu Dong (Nhon Trach).

     At the closing ceremony, audiences had chance to enjoy excellent performed opera singers from the three schools through short plays namely “Mother Seeking”, “Vo Thi Sau Heroine”, “The princess Thien Kieu” (cited from “whitened by apricot flower”) directed by the delegation of performed opera of Dong Nai
