Check up on occupational safety and fire prevention at production site of Sanyo

The results show that the company has made efforts in performing occupational safety, health and fire control such as: organizing annual medical check-up for its employees, giving training on occupational safety and sanitation, measuring working environment, giving bonus to employees working in high risk environments; testing and registering equipments with strict requirements on labour safety … However, it has not established labor protection council, not set up rules and procedures in operating machines and devices and in working places; arranging goods in the warehouse improperly, installing fight-fighting devices unsafely …

The inspectorate requested the company to overcome these shortcomings soon. Sanyo Ha Asean, 100 percent Japanese-invested company, ran its operation in Dong Nai in 1995, specializing in manufacturing air conditioners and washing machines.
