Dong Nai Power Company: change 40,000 compact fluorescent light bulbs for poor households

Dong Nai Power Company and Dong Nai’s HCM Communist Youth Union have recently signed a plan to coordinate and implement a program for changing 40,000 compact fluorescent light bulbs for poor households across the province.

 Together sign the Plan  

This is part of EVN’s program for changing a million incandescent bulbs with compact fluorescent light bulbs for the poor to help them both save energy and improve lighting. Accordingly, the Company will providing training courses in light installation for members of municipal youth unions so that they are able to help poor households across the province change the lights safely, quickly and effectively.

Change of 40,000 compact incandescent bulbs for more than 20 thousand poor families would save 3.3 million kWh in a year and 16.4 million kWh in five years, said Ho Minh Quang, Vice Director of Dong Nai Power Company

The program will start from mid-October and end on November 30, 2010.
