Dong Nai Literature and Art Association deploys its tasks for 2011

Vice Chairperson Huynh Thi Nga awarded certificates of merit to typical organizations

In 2010, the Association ran a fruitful operation by promoting motivation to produce literature and art works, developing new writers and authors in literature, music, photograph … A large number of its members participated in a lot of contests and received tens of awards. 24 members, for example, received forty-seven awards from central, regional and international guilds. Also, eleven literature books; four music books, CDs and programs; eleven stage-related works; 5 works involved in research and collection of folk art by the Association’s members have been published.

For the coming tasks in 2011, the Association will focus giving its direct support to author and team of authors who are membership of the Works Production Group

During this conference, the Provincial People’s Committee also awarded certificates of merit to 3 organizations and 10 individuals that had outstanding performance in the operation of the Association in 2010. Besides, the Committee gave non-routine rewards to 4 individuals who had won national and international literature/art awards.

Also in this Morning, the Association gave awards to excellent literature and art works sent to participate in the contest “Dong Nai’s Spirit – Thousand years of Thang Long – Ha Noi”.

Authors won the contest

This contest organized by the Association in collaboration with the Department of Culture – Sports and Tourism started on July 27, 2010. It attracted 262 works by more than 100 authors in many categories: short stories, monographs, collection of folk art, poems, songs … The organizing board decided to give awards to 42 works, of which 3 won the first, 9 won the second, 14 won the third and 16 won the consolation.
