On the afternoon of August 18, Vice chairman of the provincial People's Committee – Dinh Quoc Thai met with the Consul General of Kuwait – Dr. Abdulaziz Alsharrah, who paid a visit to Dong Nai and said his farewells on the occasion of the expiration of his term of office.

    The Consul General of Kuwait – Dr. Abdulaziz Alsharrah said that the first investment project of Kuwait in Vietnam was Kirby Steel Factory in Dong Nai province, which had been put into operation since 2008. For that reason, the Consul General hoped that the factory would keep receiving Dong Nai leadership’s attention and facilitation. Through the factory, the investment cooperation between Kuwait and Dong Nai will be promoted in the future.

    At the meeting, Vice chairman of the provincial People's Committee – Dinh Quoc Thai made a general summary of Dong Nai province’s socio-economic growth in recent years. Dong Nai currently has 29 industrial parks with more than 900 foreign investors and a total investment capital of over US$15 billion. Thai asserted that Dong Nai People's Committee would continue to facilitate the investment of the foreign investors having an intention of investing in Dong Nai province’s industrial parks and pledged that Dong Nai would continue to facilitate Kuwait investors’ investment survey trips to Dong Nai. Meeting with the Consul General, Thai hoped that the ties between the two sides would be closer and closer.
