Making it easy for organic agriculture policies

(CTT-Dong Nai) – In the afternoon of June 01st, Mr. Vo Van Phi, vice-chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, discussed with relevant departments and boards about establishing a Resolution regulates aids for expanding organic agriculture policies in the province's region.

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has written a bill called “Regulating the development of organic agriculture production aids in Dong Nai to the year 2030 Resolution"; stating: help finding suitable producing locations, hand out organic products certificates, provide  breeds, materials, products promotions.The aim is to create a legal system that provides help, and encourages the growth of organic agriculture in the province; encourages, attracts organizations, individuals to invest in organic agriculture production. Specifically, in 2025, the province is planning to establish around 500 hectares of organic agriculture production, and reach 3000 hectares in 2030.

Vice-chairman Vo Van Phi said the legal basis was already in place to build developing organic agriculture policies on it, including the government's resolution already provided guidelines, and the province's strategy on expanding organic agriculture. The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is asked to gather opinions, finalize the bill and submit it to The Provincial People' Council's first-six months meeting in 2023. The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development needs to identify plants, farming animals used in the organic model, thoroughly calculates on how many organic agriculture zones to be established in each state of the plan. The main focus for this plan to success is that it must attract potential investors, establish a steady supply and demand chain, and the policy has to be ground in reality with the targeted organic production achieves high profit, motivates the expansion of this model. ​
