Portal of Dong Nai) - As a part of the program to continue training and updating knowledge for cadres planned by the Provincial Party Committee and the Standing Committee of Provincial Party Committee for the term 2025-2030 organized by the Standing Committee of Provincial Party Committee on May 30, the students of the class listened to Mr. Nguyen Hong Linh, Member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee discuss the topic "Orienting a vision for sustainable development of Dong Nai". Attending this thematic study were leaders and managers of agencies and units from the province to the commune levels.​

The class was conducted in the form of face-to-face and online from the main endpoint was the Hall of the Provincial Party Committee to 14 endpoints of the Party Committees at all levels of the province.

At the endpoint of the Provincial Party Committee Hall were attendance of Vice Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Cao Tien Dung and Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Thai Bao.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hong Linh said that Dong Nai was facing 3 opportunities and 4 challenges

Opportunities: located in the economic development quadrangle (HCMC, Binh Duong, Dong Nai and Ba Ria-Vung Tau); was the center connecting economic regions, raw materials and human resources regieons (the Central Highlands, the South Central Region, the Mekong River Delta); Convenient and diversified transportation (North-South railway, National Highway 1, National Highway 20, National Highway 51, National Highway 56, Expressways of Ben Luc-Long Thanh, Bien Hoa-Vung Tau, Ring Roads 3 and 4, Dong Nai river, Nha Be river, Long Tau - Thi Vai river...); international trade gateway (Long Thanh International Airport).

Challenges: lagging behind in terms of economy compared to neighboring provinces (shown in economic growth index, budget revenue); slow development of social infrastructure; the security and order situations were potentially complicated; ability of officials to act.

According to the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, a leading cadre must recognize the opportunities and challenges of the locality in order to take action to bring the best values and sustainable development to their localities.

Localities develop sustainably were to bring into full play the advantages and potentials of the localities to promote development; did not trade environment for economic benefits; economic growth went hand in hand with cultural and social development, environmental protection, ensuring progress in social justice; did not leave consequences for the future and accepted by society.

In particular, for economic development, the province needed to focus on green economy, circular economy and digital economy development. In particular, it was necessary to change the economic growth model to select investment attraction in the direction of increasing technology content, being environmentally friendly, not being labor intensive, and improving the quality of GRDP.​

The economic pillars of the locality are: industry, organic agriculture, high-tech agriculture, logistics, services, tourism, commerce, seaport, aviation, construction.

The strategy of local economic development is: transport infrastructure (connecting the regions and the province); urban infrastructure; energy; scientific-technological research, creativity; fresh water (serving people's living, industry, agriculture, tourism); competitive PCI, PAPI, environment to attract investors; digital conversion; development zoning, avoiding conflicts of interest.

Resources for development: budget, social-socialization resources, land resources.

In the process of sustainable development of the province, the environment must be protected; take care of human development goals - prove that this is the land where people live happiest and build a strong Party and government.

In addition to the issues mentioned above, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also reminded the learners of the class of planning resource officers for the term 2025-2030: prepared to receive the leadership tasks in the future.
