Wish METI-Kansai further support human resource development

​In the afternoon of February 24, the delegation from the Kansai Economic, Trade and Industry Department (METI-Kansai), Japan led by Mr. Hoshokawa Yoichi, Director of the Department of International Relations, had a working session in Dong Nai. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang received and worked with the delegation.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang informed the delegation about the province's economic and social development as well as investment attraction. Accordingly, in Dong Nai province, there are currently 45 countries and territories investing in the above areas with 1,560 projects with 1,560 projects with a total registered capital of 33.50 billion USD, of which there are 266 Japanese projects with a total capital of 5.3 billion USD, ranking third in foreign investment in the province.

Dong Nai started to establish cooperative relations with local Japanese partners since 2012, in which the cooperation process between Dong Nai province and METI-Kansai has achieved many results, notably the establishment of Kansai desk and supporting industry development promotion coordinator

Leaders of the Provincial People's Committee also wished to further strengthen cooperation with the Kansai region government in particular and local partners of Japan in general. In particular, this year 2023 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan.

Personally, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang wished that Mr. Hoshokawa Yoichi would pay more attention to promote Japanese businesses to cooperate and transfer technology to businesses in Dong Nai.

Mr. Hoshokawa Yoichi said he was very pleased with the development in the cooperation relationship between Dong Nai and Kansai. He also highly appreciated the fact that the two sides have completed training for members of the coordinator team recently. This is the basis for the future to further improve the efficiency in connecting and promoting the development of Dong Nai's supporting industries.

According to Mr. Hoshokawa Yoichi, METI-Kansai is currently building a human resource training program for local businesses. Training program for Vietnamese businesses. Specifically, there are management classes for business leaders and technical training classes for engineers and factory workers.

On this occasion, METI-Kansai awarded certificates to the coordinators who had just completed the training course. Mr. Hoshokawa Yoichi also wants the coordination team members to take advantage of the knowledge of Japanese experts to support businesses. The coordinators will be a very effective bridge for Japanese enterprises and Vietnamese enterprises to develop supporting industries of Dong Nai province.
