Suggest to increase construction density of industrial zones to 70%

(DN) - On March 22, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee worked with Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority (IZ) and departments to solve some difficulties and problems in industrial zones in the province area in 2020 and quarter I-2021.

According to the report of Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority, despite being affected by Covid-19, the situation of attracting investment, building and developing infrastructure in the industrial zones of the province in 2020 still achieves higher results than year plan. Specifically, the provincial industrial zones have attracted nearly 1.3 billion USD, reaching 115% of the year plan. Particularly in the first quarter of 2021, the industrial zones attracted 10 new FDI projects and 19 expansion projects with a total investment capital of 320 million USD. At the same time, to grant 1 new domestic project and 1 capital increase project with the total amount of 750 billion VND. At the meeting, the representative of Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority proposed to handle many difficulties and problems related to land in the industrial park, including: procedures for land allocation; site clearance compensation; the construction density in the industrial parks in Dong Nai only reaches 40-60%, lower than the regulations allowed by the Ministry of Construction, up to 70%, so the province requests the province to increase the construction density in order to have more industrial land for lease; rooftop solar power licensing; regulation and guidance is needed for the reuse of wastewater ...

Recognizing the recommendations of the Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang requested departments to help quickly resolve problems in the province's industrial parks. In which, priority is given to compensation for site clearance to improve infrastructure of industrial zones and have more industrial land to attract domestic and foreign investment. At the same time, the Department of Construction quickly resolves documents of detailed construction planning of industrial zones to increase the rate of construction density.
