Planted more than 1.7 million trees in 2021

According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, in the 2021-2025 period, the province will plant 20 million trees, of which: 12 million forestry trees and 8 million plants grown on agricultural and non-agricultural land. This program contributes to the completion of the Prime Minister's "Project on planting one billion trees in the 2021-2025 period" with the goal of protecting the ecological environment, improving the landscape, responding to climate change, socio-economic development, improving people's quality of life and sustainable development in the area.

It is expected that the potential and plan to plant trees in the 2021-2025 period in the province will reach nearly 12.3 thousand hectares. As a result, in 2021, the whole province planted over 3.3 thousand hectares of plantation forests of all kinds, reaching nearly 99.8% of the plan, equivalent to planting over 1.7 million trees, reaching 98% of the plan suggested. In particular, afforestation activities have had a clear change when over 2,600 hectares of acacia hybrid forests have been converted to large timber plantations.
