Along with that, the schools also plan to develop training programs and open new majors to meet the actual requirements of the labor market.

More training profession that meet reality

Currently, vocational schools in the province are training more than 100 professions. In particular, the block of engineering disciplines is receiving much attention from learners. Industries such as: automotive technology, industrial electricity, metal cutting, mechatronics... always have high enrollment targets and early completion (at both intermediate and college levels).

To meet the labor market and in line with the context of the 4.0 industrial revolution, vocational schools have developed training programs and opened many new professions. In which, Lilama 2 International Technology College has "Industries 4.0" such as: technology 4.0, industrial robot engineering, industrial automation engineering.

The College of Machinery and Irrigation currently has two occupations in the logistics industry group, which are warehouse management and general mechanized loading and unloading. The school plans to open more jobs in this industry, but due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, it has not prepared in time for facilities. As part of the school's major development roadmap, the College of Machinery and Irrigation is currently providing primary training in high-tech agriculture. The school has built a botanical garden for high-tech agricultural vocational training at campus 2 in Vinh Cuu District.

Dr. Nguyen Van Chuong, headmaster of the school excitedly said: “Through the survey of learners, we found that the current demand for high-tech agricultural apprenticeships is suitable for opening long-term vocational training (intermediate and college level). Therefore, the school will continue to build and perfect this vocational training program to serve as a premise to open new industry codes in the future."The College of Machinery and Irrigation is also a training unit for new professions such as: mechanical technology, heating and air conditioning; electronic technology and building energy.

International cooperation in training

In order to strengthen international cooperation in vocational training, over the past time, Dong Nai College of High Technology has signed many memorandums of understanding with universities and international organizations. Accordingly, the school will cooperate with Jeonju University (Korea) to train the majors: electrical - electronics; mechanical engineering, information technology, management of tourism and travel services.

College of High Technology also signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in vocational training in Germany in the form of 1 + 3 (1 year in Dong Nai and 3 years in Germany) for the following occupations: mechanical (metal cutting), electrical (industrial electricity)…

Master Le Dinh Tham, Principal of the school, said: "We have signed a memorandum of understanding and will continue to develop a plan to implement the cooperation program in the near future." The College of Machinery and Irrigation is also being supported by GIZ in vocational training.Accordingly, there are 3 German experts "permanent resident" at the university to support the school in activities such as: training teachers for intensive modules; support workshop management; develop and recommend training programs...

“We just welcomed a German expert to support the school in digital transformation. This expert helped the school build an LMS (Learning Management System - online training management). Currently, the construction of LMS software has been completed and put into operation. We are continuing to carry out digital transformation in management and administration work," said Dr. Nguyen Van Chuong, the school's principal.

It is known that in addition to the German partner, the College of Mechanics and Irrigation is also cooperating with a Japanese partner (training 2 occupations: industrial electricity and metal cutting) and an Australian partner (training 2 occupations of warehouse management and general mechanical loading and unloading).

Lilama 2 International Technology College can be considered as an example of international cooperation in vocational training, not only in Dong Nai but also with the whole country. Currently, the school is having many cooperation programs with many foreign partners, most notably the cooperation programs with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).

With the support and transfer of training programs from Germany, Lilama 2 International College of Technology has now trained 4 professions according to German standards (metal cutting, construction mechanics, mechatronics and industrial electronics). Graduates of these 4 majors will be awarded 1 Vietnamese vocational degree and 1 German standard vocational diploma. This will open up better job opportunities for learners. Also with these 4 majors, if learners participate in the training program "Road to Germany" will have the opportunity to work in Germany with an attractive salary.
