At the working session, representatives of project owners and contractors reported that the demand for construction stone to serve key transportation projects in Dong Nai—such as the Long Thanh International Airport, the Bien Hoa-Vung Tau Expressway, and Ring Road No. 3 – Ho Chi Minh City—will amount to approximately 15 million cubic meters in 2025.
To ensure project progress, project owners requested that Dong Nai province and relevant agencies expedite the procedures for extending and increasing the capacity of stone quarries in the province during February, so that construction stone can be supplied for these projects starting in early March.
Chairman Vo Tan Duc of the Provincial People's Committee stated that, following the directives of the Government and the Prime Minister, Dong Nai province has coordinated with the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to adjust investment certificates for stone mining projects based on the registered volumes of project owners. These adjustments are to be completed by February 18. Dong Nai will continue working with the delegation from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to resolve any remaining difficulties within February, enabling the exploitation of stone quarries under special mechanisms to supply the projects starting in March 2025.

Concluding the session, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha emphasized that the key projects in Dong Nai play a critical role, and their accelerated progress is highly anticipated by Party and State leaders, as well as the public, to serve as drivers of economic development for the region, locality, and the nation as a whole.
To address the demand for construction stone, the Deputy Prime Minister instructed project owners to thoroughly review their needs and provide accurate reports. The Ministry of Transport is tasked with consolidating the material demands of all projects, reporting to the Prime Minister, and ensuring precise oversight of registered demand figures.
For Dong Nai province, based on the registered demands of project owners, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee must direct relevant units to complete procedures for capacity increases and quarry extensions by February 18.
Additionally, the Deputy Prime Minister approved the inclusion of two projects—Long Thanh International Airport and Ring Road No. 3 – Ho Chi Minh City—into the list of projects eligible for special mechanisms regarding construction materials. These mechanisms must be implemented in strict accordance with regulations, ensuring no losses or wastage. The Ministry of Transport will handle the procedures to include these two projects under the special mechanisms for construction materials and report to the National Assembly.
