How has it achieved such resounding success?

At the beginning of its operation, the company faced many challenges including lack of capital, market limitations as well as lack of market acceptance for Vinacafe products. Therefore, General Director of Vinacafe Bien Hoa Joint Stock Company Bui Xuan Thoa had to look for all ways to increase the efficiency of his company’s business activities. He was a pioneer in researching and applying sci-tech achievements in production aiming to raise production capacity and processing quality. As a result, Vinacafe Bien Hoa raised its original capacity by 50 per cent.

To achieve such resounding success, Vinacafe Bien Hoa had to overcome many difficulties and challenges. It has developed from a small enterprise with the design capacity of 80 tons of coffee power in the beginning of its establishment into large enterprise with capacity of 800 tons. Vinacafe Bien Hoa was the first company to research and launch instant ginseng coffee mix 4 in 1 to Vietnamese market in the period of 2004-2006. Vinacafe is Vietnamese Coffee which is well known for its good taste since it is grown on the Basalt soiled highlands full of sunshine. By having been strictly exploited this unique taste, Vinacafe is different from other coffee.

In the advent of Vietnam’s admission to WTO, many Vietnamese companies are trying to create the trademark for their products hastily but they have not concentrated in improving their product quality. Meanwhile, improving quality and customer satisfaction are top priorities of Vinacafe Bien Hoa. These will ensure sustained Vinacafe’s participation in the international trade system. Vinacafe Bien Hoa plans to build a new facility in Long Thanh Industrial Zone with total investment of approximately VND500 billion. The new factory is expected to come into operation at the end of 2007 with its annual capacity of 3,200 tonnes. Accordingly, Vinacafe Bien Hoa will become Vietnam’s largest producer of instant coffee. The new factory will produce ready-made coffee and other kinds of beverage and 70% of its products will be exported to foreign markets.
