In 2005, Vikyno reached turnover of VND 125 billion, VND 23 billion higher than in 2004 and over VND 100 billion higher than in 1995. In which, its export turnover achieved US$2.7 million, an increase of US$1.1 million against last year and nearly 2.2 million against 1995. To achieve the results, during the past ten years, the company has invested in technology renovation and applied science and technology to production. Besides, Vikyno was provided the transfer of modern diesel engine manufacturing technology by Kubota (Japan). This technology is only used in Japan and Vietnam. Accordingly, Vikyno earns the trust and confidence of its customers in both the domestic and foreign markets by offering top quality RV diesel engines ranging from 7 HP to 30 HP. Its products were exported to not only traditional markets like Malaysia, Japan, Panama, and Philippines, but also to Taiwan, France, Sri Lanka and Indonesia, etc. According to the company’s leaders, Vikyno was supplying its products with the same quality to both domestic and foreign customers although the price of the domestic product is cheaper than that of export.

The company was also the first unit under Vietnam Engine and Agricultural Machinery Corporation (VEAM) that received ISO 9001:2000 certificate and ISO 14001 certificate, environmental management system. 

To increase the competitiveness of Vikyno

Vikyno is today exporting to 15 countries around the world. Despite export achievements, the company has been planning to extend its reach into new markets with their agriculture having similar characteristics to Vietnam. Last year, Vikyno therefore sent many expertises to Srilanka and Philippines for providing instruction and hands-on experience with agricultural machinery maintenance and repair for customers. The company’s leaders say that Vikyno continues to offer full after-sales service on its products for customers in some countries.

Diesel Generator RV 165-2 designed by Vikyno has just been awarded by Dong Nai Department of Science, Technology and Environment with “Excellent award”. In addition, this product already won the "Golden Cup Award" at Technology and Equipment Fair 2005 (Techmart 2005) organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology. With the drive towards more economical and reliable, the diesel generator is a constantly developing technology and a fully featured multifunction system designed to meet the needs of customers.

In 2006, Vikyno is projecting to invest VND 10 billion in new equipment and modifying production techniques to stay competitive. Moreover, the company will work hard to develop and launch a new combine harvester before the end of 2006 aiming to meet the needs of farmers. The company is now not only facing stiff challenges of regional economic integration and of Vietnam’s accession to the WTO but also is under pressure from Chinese competitors.

Vikyno enjoys high reputation among its customers in 15 countries around the world by reliable quality, reasonable price and unique product features. However, most domestic customers usually opt to purchase lower quality but cheap products. Therefore, the company is taking steps to reduce production cost, and improve product design and quality to continue to offer competitive products at a lower price aiming at attracting more customers and holding a greater market share when selling to a domestic market. In fiscal 2006, Vikyno targets to reach a turnover of VND 20 billion higher than the figure of 2005.
