As a top in the southern economic quadrilaterals, Dong Nai province has for years affirmed its role as a key center of the country.

dn-vungkinhtetrongdiem  In development plan for the near future of the key economic hub in the south, it will still be the largest industrial center in the region. How to uphold its role so as to stimulate and speed up the general development of this zone is now a difficult problem without solutions

Having 33 planned industrial zones with the total area of over 11,800 hectares, including 19 industrial zones with total area of nearly 5,400 hectares have been approved by the government, Dong Nai has attracted over 700 investment projects with the total capitals 7.5 billion USD and created 260,000 job for labors. These industrial zones have played significant roles to speed up the alteration of economic structure toward the orientation of industrialization and modernization.

In the orientation of development of southern economic hub in period of 2006 – 2010, Dong Nai is still considered as the industrial center of the region.

In the period from 2006 to 2010 and orientation of development toward 2020, Dong Nai is still the industrial center with high speed development. In order to enhance the relation with neighboring provinces, Dong Nai will construct inter-province highways such as HCMC – Long Thanh – Dau Giay; Bien Hoa – Ba Ria Vung Tau and belt lines connecting with Long An – HCMC – Dong Nai – Binh Duong and Binh Phuoc. In internal affairs, like many industrial zones in Bien Hoa City, all concentrated industrial zones in the provinice will be mushroomed along the corridor of the Nationa Road No. 51 consisting of Long Thanh and Nhon trach district and along the National Road No 1 in Trang Bom and Thong Nhat districts. in addition to the industrial zones, many industrial complex and craft industry zone in remote and mountainous area will be built in the raw materials zone aiming to create jobs for local people in these areas.

The problem of Dong Nai province is that the industrial development plans should be thoroughly selected and allocated in right places so as to attract more high-tech projects and gradually limit the projects requiring a lot of employees in order to overcome the shortage of labors which is now in a serve condition. Moreover, its orientation of industrial development plan should focus on industries which will lead the development of the whole region.

With the above role and position, Dong Nai has been becoming an important link in the dynamic economic hub in the south.
