According to Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s ultimate report from the meeting with Leaders of Ho Chi Minh City, published by the Government Office; the Prime Minister approved the Cat Lai Bridge Construction connecting Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City to replace ferry transport.
According to the design, Cat Lai Bridge shall have the total length of about 4km; the main part shall be 3km long with 4 lanes and the clearance height of 55m. One end of the bridge shall be in My Thuy intersection (District 2) and the other end shall be located in Phu Hung commune (Nhon Trach district) following the direction from Nguyen Thi Dinh street (District 2) over Dong Nai River to Ly Thai To street (Nhon Trach district). The total planned investment capital shall be over 5.7 trillion VND including 1.2 trillion VND for compensation and clearance.
