Tet bonus 2011 at foreign enterprises averages over VND3.4 million

According to the report by Dong Nai Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (DoLISA), as at December 30, 2010, 190 foreign-invested enterprises and some domestic ones as well as other private companies sent their documents on minimum salary adjustment and Tet bonuses for 2011 to DoLISA under the Decrees No.107 and No.108/2010 of the Government.

Tet bonuses is the method to retain laborers  

Accordingly, at 190 foreign-invested enterprises, the average salary of a laborer was reported to be VND2,469,000 per month; the highest and lowest average levels are VND19,687,000 per month and VND1,237,000 per month respectively. The average income of a laborer is VND3,444,000 per month, the highest and lowest levels are VND26,710,000 per month and VND1,623,000 per month, respectively. The average Tet bonus reaches VND3,432,000 per person with the highest bonus of VND27,886,000 and the lowest bonus of VND974,000. At state-owned enterprises that have been transformed into joint-stock companies and one-member limited companies, the average income of a laborer is VND4,160,000 per month with the highest and lowest levels are VND6 million per month and VND2,100,000 per month, respectively; the average Tet bonus is VND5,200,000 per person with the highest bonus of VND120,000,000 per person. At limited companies and non state-owned enterprises, the average income of a laborer is VND2,100,000 per month with the highest and lowest levels are VND16,000,000 per month and VND1,600,000 per month, respectively. The average bonus is VND2 million per person with the highest bonus of VND18 million and the lowest level of VND1.2 million.

At present, 70% of FDI enterprises have built salary scale and payroll, and then will base on these to adjust minimum salary for their laborers. As for other enterprises, they are adjusting the increase of minimum monthly salary in 2011.
